The Union vs Government Question

Question: What role will unions and the views of their leaders play in your administration if you win the 2002 Gubernatorial election? Will this role be greater, the same or less than in previous administrations?

REPLY: My answer in one word is: "Yes".

Our relationship will be dynamic, evolutionary, and REVOLUTIONARY! Let me explain. At first the Labor Unions will have an important role in helping to develop a vibrant free market economy for Hawaii that is free of government coercion because the Unions are powerful grass roots organizations that have played a major political role in developing a certain amount of fiscal fairness for workers in spite of powerful govenment and corporate forces that constantly attempt to exploit workers using the powers of government monoply and exclusion and "behind-the-scenes-racketerring". Virtually every union complains about unfair and badfaith treatment and violations of labor contracts by government Employer entities. If I am elected to serve as governor of the state bureaucracy, the economic realities that now define the relationship between organized Labor and the government-Employer will be dealt with in each case by respect and enforcement of valid contracts, and good faith negotiations to fairly and expeditiously resolve contract disputes left over from previous administrations. The ultimate goal is to transfer most government employees organized in HGEA and HSTA and the services they provide so skillfully to the public into the private sector free market under the complete jurisdiction of the employees themselves and their own voluntary union entities. At that time, the core functions of government, such as enforcing the Bill of Rights and protecting the sovereignty of the State of Hawaii and each sovereign individual in Hawaii from federal tyranny such as the I.R.S. and the War on Drugs and the Nazi-inspired Homeland Security Office and their Airport Security gang, and ending state created Tax Slavery of Hawaii residents, will be the only business of my adminstration, and the Unions will cease to be involved in any labor versus Employer relationship with state government. The result will be a great mutual benefit to all Taxpayers including Union members, and this revolutionary policy will boost our local economy and help end Tax Slavery we all suffer and it will restore more sovereignty of Hawaii residents over their government.
